IDEAL Connections is a program driven by fostering meaningful relationships with our customers and community. Our latest program was inspired by our founder’s long-standing company mission to create “IDEAL” relationships with the electrician community we’ve served for over 100 years.
In the midst of demanding work hours, we want to provide those considering or in the electrical field with events and opportunities that elevate their careers and connect them to a community they can lean on every step of the way.
Through a focused effort on empowering pre-apprenticeship programs, being a trusted partner for trade schools, building electricians’ skills, and championing contractor-run electrical businesses, IDEAL Connections aspires to leave a lasting impact on the industry – and the communities we live in.

Pre-Apprentice
We will donate $200K for pre-apprenticeship and skills-building youth programs in 2025, through partnerships with:
- Generator of Workplace Development and Opportunity
- Philadelphia Skilled Trades Academy
- Support Ontario Youth (Tools in the Trade)
- Junior Achievement
APPRENTICE
We will impact more than 40 trade schools and hundreds of electrical apprentices across the US and Canada this year by:
- Hosting electrical trade school training events
- Donating $200K in product kits, tools, and training supplies
- Hosting Apprentice Showdown competitions to sharpen electrical apprentice skills and award future tradespeople with $1,500 in cash prizes.
ELECTRICIANS
We will connect dozens of electricians from across the country with:
- An exclusive event for electricians dedicated to elevating their craft alongside other electricians
- An give-back day, in partnership with Rebuilding Together, to positively impact Chicago.
CONTRACTORS
We will provide hundreds of electrical contractors with:
- Exclusive offers on bulk orders
- More Customized Customer Experience
- Branded Merchandise
- Trainings with 3X National Champion Electrician Greg Anliker
COMMUNITY
In partnership with Rebuilding Together and our international electrical social media community, we will give $150K back to Chicagoland, helping restore communities and keep people in their homes with expert, pro-bono labor.
